Dura Vermeer

An ERP system built like an engineering project

About Dura Vermeer

A major player in Dutch construction since 1855. Dura Vermeer has grown into a group with over 3,000 employees and €2.1 billion in revenue, known for its innovative and sustainable approach to building and infrastructure.

Dura Vermeer’s ERP system had evolved organically over three decades. It was time for a structured, scalable solution that could support its broad and complex operation.

The challenge

Dura Vermeer was looking for a partner with a clear grasp of technical complexity and the discipline to deliver at scale. Utilus brought a track record in large-system projects and a structured methodology that starts with proof and ends with delivery. Our combination of strategic clarity and operational grit aligned well with Dura Vermeer’s engineering mindset.

Why Utilus?

We started with a proof-of-concept to test technical and financial feasibility. Based on this, an ERP solution was built covering planning, procurement and project management, designed from the ground up for clarity and control.

The work

The new system delivers significant cost savings and improves coordination across teams. As Joost den Heijer, IT Director at Dura Vermeer, puts it: “Utilus is direct, result-driven and focused. That aligns well with the way our engineers think and work.”
